About

In this blog, there are episodes of personal journals of celebrations of love and life. From dating with my husband to marriage and pregnancy. Recently more about my baby Matthias, born in October 2015.

We know the importance of play, as we like to say "children learn through play".

But what is play? Is instructing children to use Unifix cubes to measure different lengths consider play just because we used concrete materials?

As much as we want open-ended play experience for children, we need to learn to put our "structured teaching" into children's play. Nope, not talking about having a balance of structured and free play activities in timetables, but planning for authentic and fun play experiences for children so they can discover and explore.

I am learning and researching more about children's play and how they can learn through play. And I would really love to hear about play in outdoors. So if you have ideas and opinions, please share.
